About Kelley Rising

Kelley Rising, Inc. is a Houston-based nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to provide compassionate, practical support that helps people move from the streets to stable, independent living. We address the root challenges of homelessness, including unemployment, lack of housing, and the impact of substance use, with programs tailored to meet each individual where they are.

At Kelley Rising, we understand that homelessness is complex and affects every aspect of a person’s life. Our approach combines job readiness and placement services, reintegration support, and recovery resources to give participants the tools, skills, and confidence needed to rebuild their lives. Through personalized guidance and evidence-based strategies, we empower individuals to achieve stability, self-sufficiency, and long-term success.

Helping Houston’s homeless rebuild through tailored support programs.

Job Readiness & Placement

We provide resume building, interview preparation, skills training, and connections to employers committed to hiring individuals transitioning out of homelessness. Our goal is sustainable, meaningful employment that provides dignity and financial independence.

Reintegration

Kelley Rising helps participants navigate housing, social services, and community resources. From securing temporary or permanent housing to learning essential life skills, we ensure every participant has the guidance and support needed to reintegrate successfully.

Recognizing the link between addiction and homelessness, we provide referrals to counseling, harm reduction programs, and recovery services. Our focus is on meeting people where they are, promoting health, and supporting long-term recovery.

Founded in memory of a loved one lost to addiction, Kelley Rising honors their legacy by creating pathways out of homelessness and crisis. We measure our impact through employment placement, housing stability, and successful reintegration, ensuring accountability to participants and funders. Through partnerships with local agencies, shelters, and workforce programs, Kelley Rising extends its reach and provides a holistic support system for Houston’s homeless population.
